Guides to Fine Arts Like Painting, Designing, Architecture, Sculpture, Photography and More

By John Mason

Learn how to how to oil paint. Art is the most unpopular idea in the world. Folks who are not into art would say that art is just merely a profession in making beautiful decorations that will please the eyes of the viewers. Some even would go to the extent of saying that art is nothing but a past time for folk who don't have anything to do. But all of these impressions about art are incorrect.

Art is certainly used to decorate a place however its purpose isn't restricted to being simply a decoration. Art is more than just a decoration it is a language that conveys a message thru the elements that are found in the art itself. It'd be extremely offensive to the part of the artist to tell him or her that his or her work is just a decoration. Artists did not create their master piece just for it to become decoration, they spent lots of time perfecting their art work and they put their abilities to the test every time they display their art works in public.

Art is also not only a past time for folk who don't have anything to do. It is really degrading to the character of art if we are saying that it is just a past time. Artists spent almost most of their life to conquer their chosen art. They have run across plenty of heart breaking mess ups and demoralising circumstances yet because they're determined to become good in art they find a way to get passed thru it.

So to say that art is merely a past time is extraordinarily offensive and downgrading to the artist and the art itself. We can't simply reduce art into something similar to a decoration or a past time because for an artists art is their life and it is what gives meaning to their existence as an artist.

We should push art instead of making stupid comments about it. We have seen how art contributed our society and how it formed our civilization so it is just and necessary for us to support art and artists.
